Fishing on TulipSMP

Fish Finder

Search for any fish, or filter by rarity and location, to see where it lives and what it's worth.

Rarities & Odds

About half of your catches are custom fish; the rest are regular Minecraft loot. Custom fish roll a rarity, and 1 in 10 gets turned into Rubbish instead.

Odds are worked out from the plugin's code, without lures or events. On average a custom fish is worth about $30 and 1.8 points. If you have the Fishing job, every catch also pays $5 on top. Celestial catches are announced to the whole server.

Biome Fish

Some fish only live in certain biomes. When you catch a custom fish and your biome has fish of that rarity, there's a 10% chance it'll be a biome fish. The Biome Lure and Biome Fish event raise this. Not sure where you are? Type /biome.

Shiny & Pride Fish

Any custom fish, even Rubbish, can come with a modifier that makes it sell for more. A fish can be both, which stacks to 10×.

Selling & Points

Type /fish sell, drop in all your fish and rubbish, then close the chest. Everything sellable is sold at once, and anything else is handed back.

Lures

Lures give you bonuses while you fish. Hold one and click to activate it. You have 5 lure slots, and activating a lure you already have adds its uses to the same slot. Each catch uses one charge, and/lures shows what's active.

Events & Whirlpools

Every 300 fish caught across the server starts a random fishing event for 15 minutes. Check what's running with /fishingevents. If an event triggers while it's already active, its timer is extended.

Head to an active whirlpool with /whirlpool. Only one can be active at a time, and fish caught there go straight into your inventory.

Event items

•
  Random Fishing Event

Starts a random event for 10 minutes. 5% chance it turns into a Lava Whirlpool item instead.

•
  Super Fishing Event

Starts all six events at once for 30 minutes.

•
  Whirlpool Fishing Event

Spawns a Whirlpool for 15 minutes.

•
  Lava Whirlpool Fishing Event

Spawns a Lava Whirlpool for 15 minutes.

Hold one and click to use it.
